Psalm 149: 1-9

1  Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.

2  Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King.

3  Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp.

4  For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.

5  Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.

6  May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands,

7  to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,

8  to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron,

9  to carry out the sentence written against them— this is the glory of all his faithful people. Praise the LORD.

Prayer

Praise our Father and God,

Musicians of all generations have been writing new songs to praise You, and God’s people have used every which way to praise You. With grateful hearts we praise God’s name by dancing and playing music on harps and tambourines. For God so love the world, He wants all men to be saved and does not desire anyone to perish. May we keep on singing Glorious Triumph of the Cross and offer our undivided hearts to You, our Lord.

Praise our redeemer, Jesus Christ. Hosana, Hosana, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. You are the king of kings and Lord of lords. The coronavirus pandemic is accelerating aggressively. We are holding on to your gracious hand and letting You battle against the virus for us. We will be on guard, watching and praying until the day of the Lord. May You come soon!

Holy Spirit of Revival, come and cleanse our hearts and purge any wicked thoughts and covetous desire. Transform us by the renewing of our minds, lead us to live victorious Christian lives, patiently waiting for the pandemic to pass. We are willing to release all that we hold on to. Holy Spirit come and fill us again. Help us to be still for the Lord said that only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength.

With joyful hearts, we pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
