Psalm 98: 1-2, 5-6, 9

1  Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

2  The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.

5  make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,

6  with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the LORD, the King.

9  let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

Prayer

Creator of the universe, Jehovah, our Heavenly Father, let all the world in every corner sing to You a new song, for You have done marvelous things. Every morning we receive new mercy, and every moment new experiences, new joys, and new inspirations. We sing new melodies of praise one after another, never ending and old hymns in new style because we have your wisdom genes. Being influenced by Your kindness and faithfulness, we have been transformed by the renewal of our minds. We have an insight into Your goodness and we strive to live our lives according to Your will.

Lord Jesus, our redeemer, You have accomplished the amazing and great plan of salvation. It is straightforward and concise. If we confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, we will be saved. It is reliable and complete, and it is absolutely flawless. As long as we sincerely believe, we will be saved forever. There is nothing that can ever separate us form Your love. Though we are in the midst of the global pandemic a tribulation that has brought us devastation, hardship, stress, emotional scars and injury to our psyche; however, no one can snatch us from Your hand because we are Your sheep, and we will not perish. Lord, You are the righteous king who will execute judgement in the future. All the unrighteous, unjust, and unlawful things in today’s society will be exposed before You and You will bring justice against the wicked.

Holy Spirit, dwell in us, help us to keep God’s word close to our hearts and to empty out all the sins and injustice within us. Open up our minds so we can see things from different perspectives instead of keep running into dead ends. Lead us in our hearts and move us with joyful rhythm. Let us use the gift of talent to play and synchronize melodies with lyre, harp, and stringed instruments. Let us play songs that change mood from cheerful to comforting in the way that is suitable. During the solo horn part, declare a message that we ought to be on guard and keep awake for there is a time for everything. Although we do not understand why things are happening at this very moment, but we know God will make all things beautiful in His time.
