Psalm 65: 1-4, 9-11

1  Praise awaits you, our God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled.

2  You who answer prayer, to you all people will come.

3  When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave [  our transgressions.

4  Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple.

9  You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.

10  You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops.

11  You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.

Prayer

Great Jehovah, we cannot hide from You or escape from Your power and sovereignty. You are full of grace and love. You care for us human beings and hear our prayers. We earnestly seek Your forgiveness. You have entrusted the earth to our stewardship and we failed to take good care of it. You have blessed us with peace and tranquility that we took for granted. Sins have overwhelmed us and caused us to stumble at the door of Your grace. In Your mercy You pull us from the trash heap and wash away our unrighteousness.

Lord Jesus, the only true god in the universe and we are just a speck of dust in Your eternity. But You love us so much that you put us in Your dwelling place, as members of each other in the spiritual family. Although the pandemic has brought a lot of stress on our bodies, mind, and spirit, we keep our eyes fixed on You. You used the winnowing shovel and tossed the mixed wheat in our lives into the air, the chaff would separate from the wheat and be lifted away by the breeze. You reveal to us that which is substantial and valuable in our lives.

The mighty Holy Spirit! We long for Your shower of blessing be upon us. Drench the furrow of our souls and level our hard plow ridges. Water our dry and thirsty hearts with the morning dews and soften the soil with rains. Let Your spirit work in us that we may produce the fruit of the spirit as we walk our Christian life. Let our praise songs glorify Your name and bring blessing to people. Let us be a witness of how You crown the year with Your goodness and for those who trust in You, their carts overflow with abundance.
