Psalm 53: 1-6

1  The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.

2  God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.

3  Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.

4  Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on God.

5  But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, where there was nothing to dread. God scattered the bones of those who attacked you; you put them to shame, for God despised them.

6  Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Abba, the Lord who looks down from heaven to see if anyone is wise enough to search for him. You open a way of access for those who seek Your face. Help us to stand firm in our faith when we are in the middle of a serious coronavirus outbreak. Let us remember that we are hidden under the shadow of Your wings, and we should not fear or be dismayed.

Merciful Lord Jesus, with Your nail scarred hands may You link our global prayers into a chain and present it before the throne of Heavenly Father. May You embrace brothers and sisters and their families who are struggling with sickness, free them from the pain and suffering, and restore the health of their bodies, minds, and spirits. May Your name be gloried through healing.

Holy Spirit, remove the pride and wickedness in our hearts. Keep us from going off the right path and keep us away from sin and unrighteousness. We consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord. We put our trust in Christ and pray for divine guidance to live a life of victory.
