Psalm 111: 1-10

1  Praise the LORD. I will extol the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.

2  Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.

3  Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever.

4  He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.

5  He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.

6  He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations.

7  The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.

8  They are established for ever and ever, enacted in faithfulness and uprightness.

9  He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever—holy and awesome is his name.

10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;  all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.

Prayer

Let all nations give praises, honor and majesty to the Lord, God. You are our Heavenly Father who keeps His covenant and loving devotion. We sing hallelujah to You. Gracious are you Lord, and righteous; our God is merciful. You provided manna from heaven that we will be satisfied by being obedient to your word. Come close to God and God will come close to us. You establish your faithfulness in the heavens and it is not affected by changes in weather patterns. Your faithfulness continues through all generations.

Thank you, Jesus, You humbled yourself, became a human and dwell among us on earth. You turn every letter of Heavenly Father’s love into a verse of life. Praise God that He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He was wounded and crushed because of our inequities; by taking our punishment, he made us completely well. You are a great shepherd may we rest in your care. Renew our strength this morning so that we can have victory over whatever challenges that come our way.

Holy Spirit, dwell in us, give us prudent hearts, guide us in knowing God’s will, and wisdom that brings us harmony with God and people. Let those around us feel the love and fragrance of Christ.
