Proverbs 29：2，6，8，11，15，18，20，22-23

2  When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.

6  Evildoers are snared by their own sin, but the righteous shout for joy and are glad.

8  Mockers stir up a city, but the wise turn away anger.

11  Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.

15  A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom, but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother.

18  Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.

20  Do you see someone who speaks in haste? There is more hope for a fool than for them.

22  An angry person stirs up conflict, and a hot-tempered person commits many sins.

23  Pride brings a person low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor.

Prayer

May honor, glory, power and goodness be to our Father who is the king and sits on the throne forever. Thank you, Lord. We come to you with obedience and faith for a new day without timidity or fear. We will bring glory and praise to you by following our paths with visions and missions you have given us and living with joy and happiness in our hearts.

Savior Jesus, You have resurrected and ascended to heaven with a glorious body and returned to your heavenly Father. You allowed your hands and sides to leave visible imprints of nails that will never be forgotten. However, you did not allow the scars caused by men to remain in your heart because you had asked the Father to forgive them while you were on the cross. These marks from the nails have become a mark of your glory. I hope that one day when you greet us in heaven, we can kiss these marks of love. All the scars we bear, the ones caused by the current pandemic and social turmoil plus the ones from past hurts, can never be compared to the harm you faced. You have promised that the lost will be found, the outcast will be fetched and the sick will be healed. You have also promised that you will even mend the ones you have broken and you will heal the ones you have stricken. You will save us from disasters even the seventh times and no harm will come upon us. You are our good shepherd. You will keep watch on your sheepfold and make sure that none is lost. Who can snatch us from your hand?

Holy Spirit, we pray that you dwell in our hearts again. You are our mentor and helpful friend. We are willing to be humble, obedient and learn to act with wisdom. Please keep us abide in God’s grace and let us walk with you in your garden so that we can be reinvigorated in peace, our hearts can be filled joy and we can sing the song of thanksgiving. Please lead us not to deviate from the Holy Word, not to compromise and abandon Christian precepts and teachings, not to violate the teachings of the Bible and act against the truth; for the purpose of pleasing men. Please help us to stay away from fights and discourse because evil can never reap peace and blessings but only bring curses and deepen harm. Please lead us to pursue harmony in unity in order to bring peace and tranquility to others and calm disputes and anger.

We pray in the holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
