(Thanksgiving):
1. “Continuous Prayer”: It has never been an easy action to continue to pray without ceasing. We are thankful for friends, churches, pastors, relatives and friends around the world, who are always eagerly waiting for the weekly Prayer Letters to continually pray for Moses, So Ching and our family. More recently, friends in the non-Chinese-speaking world have asked for an English version of the Prayer Letter. (This reminds me of the biblical story of “Gideon” in the book of Judges, who had more than 20,000 warriors and ended up with only 300. Even so, they did not lose faith and stood firm in God. In the end, they experienced God's victory and grace.) [Judges 7]).
2. “Your (Moses’) Temporary Stage”: I remember the day you withdrew from your university program, we as parents also had to set down our expectations, so that you can boldly pursue your dreams on stage. Today, it seems that the hospital bed is your “temporary stage”, but we know that you are using this stage to witness the glory and power of the Lord Jesus. Although we are worried with tears and fluctuating emotions, we are proud of you indeed!
3. “Family’s Persistence”:
a. So Ching's visit and care has become Moses’ spiritual and psychological comfort and treatment.
b. The division of labor among the families: contact with the medical expert team, discussion and research on different new treatments, external contacts and thanks, encouragement videos, dedicated meals, and prayer letters, etc. It all shows love and encouragement to him.
4. "Position Reversal": Thinking back, if it was not Moses, but another performer on stage, how would the person and his or her family face the trauma after nine weeks? What would their mood be... This may be a question in the minds of many friends who have substituted themselves in our position (“if I am the parent of MOSES....”). Thankfully, we have hope in the Creator God, and love from all over the world, to carry us through with supportive encouragement and comfort.
(Prayer requests): Isaiah 40:31 "He who waits for the Lord will be empowered again. They will spread their wings like eagles, and they will run without drowsiness, and they will go without weariness. 」
1. “Traumatized Individuals and their Families":
a. (Dancers) Pray for all Moses’ colleagues, all the dancers who are traumatized by the body, mind, and soul. Pray that their trauma will receive awareness and peace.
b. (Families of the Deceased and Injured) Pray that the families of the deceased and injured who have been injured at work in the past few months can get through the pain of losing their loved ones. May there be companions surround them, who can provide them with comfort and care.
2. "Hardship in Every Step": In the process of Moses’ Recovery Therapy and treatments, we pray for the fluctuating emotions of So Ching, Moses, and the family. In addition, pray for perseverance to rely in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, to overcome every steps of hardship.
3. “Moses’ Condition”: After two months of treatment...
a. Enhanced Spontaneous Breathing: Although the abdominal and pectoral muscles have improved during treatment, he is still unable to cough spontaneously and spit out the phlegm.
b. Neck Brace Removal: The collar is expected to be removed by the end of next week, followed by further treatments.
c. Nursing: Moses still has many daily needs which requires the timely assistance and care from others.
4. Government "Interdepartmental Working Group": The investigation report is expected to be completed in September last month (There is still no final report at the time of writing the “Intercession 10”). I hope that this investigation report can clearly find out the cause and effect of this incident as soon as possible, to give justice and justification to Moses, the performers and the public; in addition, to provide reasonable proceeding and follow-up.
