New Year Prayer: Family Renewal and Blessed Joy
Most gracious Heavenly Father,
As the new year unfolds beneath your sovereign light,
let your grace descend upon us like the dawn that scatters night.
Renew the depths of my heart;
cleanse it of every anxious care.
Speak your peace into my whole being,
and by your Spirit, restore my strength anew.
Look with mercy upon my household.
Renew the bonds that bind us,
that our speech may be gentle and true,
our hearts inclined toward understanding,
our lives adorned with patience, forbearance, and steadfast love.
Knit us together in unity of spirit,
that we may stand as one before every trial,
walk faithfully through each season,
and, by your sustaining grace,
overcome all adversity set before us.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord we pray.
